			<description>With the new iPhone app iEmerald ISO supports the regional sales force of tour operators. The App is connected to the ISO CRM Emerald and delivers all relevant information to the field service regarding scheduled appointments; e.g. contact info, characteristics and sales figures, which can be downloaded before a visit. After a visit the mobile report with resubmission data can be filed and saved in Emerald. Via Google Maps the app helps to find the fastest route to the next appointment.</description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[Many tour operators use a regional field service in order to look after their agencies and tourist offices. Equipped with an iPhone and with ISO’s new mobile app iEmerald these representatives are able to perfectly prepare and evaluate their visits to relevant sites.
iEmerald enables mobile use of all relevant data in the <link 124 - internal-link "Opens internal link in current window"><img src="typo3/sysext/rtehtmlarea/res/accessibilityicons/img/internal_link.gif" alt="" />touristic CRM system Emerald</link> that ISO Travel Solutions created. Before an appointment the user has real time access to information such as address, contacts, characteristics, bookings and sales figures and therefore is perfectly prepared. Afterwards the results of the visit can be entered via iPhone and saved in Emerald’s customer history. Then they are available to all other colleagues and ready for additional CRM purposes.
In addition the app uses Google Maps to help personnel to unerringly find the next appointment and all closest customers in relation to the current location.
With iEmerald ISO Travel Solutions offers the perfect equipment for the mobile field service. Print-outs and data collections from the previous day are obsolete, as well as time-consuming report generation after visits.]]></content:encoded>

			<description>At the ITB in Berlin, March 10th to 14th, in hall 6.1, stand 112, ISO Travel Solutions will present touristic multi-touch booking applications for Microsoft Surface and other multi-touch enabled displays.</description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[The multi-touch application from ISO Travel Solutions enables customers to book hotels, flight, rental cars, cruises and package holidays. Several users together can view and arrange tours simultaneously. This is done without mouse or keyboard but just by using their own hands via a touch-sensitive surface.
ISO has enhanced its surface showcase for the ITB and has adapted its application for multi-touch enabled displays. Users can enjoy the atmosphere of a table which might serve as an exclusive counseling area in a travel agency or as a reception desk. Or they are able to use the application on a travel agent’s display or on a ‘sales window’ attached to a wall of the agency. This creates a true experience for the customer. The ‘Natural User Interface’ allows changing objects on the screen by hand or placing them in the shopping cart.
ISO’s web-based tour operator solution ‘Pacific’ serves as the technical foundation and it delivers all required facts such as master data, prices, allocations, dates and vacancies to the surface. Pacific gathers additional data from the usual external providers like Amadues for flights and Micros for hotels. In addition own reservation systems can be connected in order to bring such products to market.
Relevant business partner information can be retrieved from ISO’s CRM-System Emerald. Specific offers can be generated which correlate with certain customer attributes and in cooperation with Pacific individual packages are created and calculated for the customer.
The application uses the complete available content. Users are able to change pictures in size and watch videos. According to the desired field of application and workflow, chosen services can be booked and paid by the customer or transferred to a support member.

In cooperation with kooaba ISO Travel Solutions introduces the first interactive travel catalogue which connects the offline-world with the pertaining online content. This unique technology will be introduced for the first time at the world’s most important touristic fair in Berlin; in an unprecedented way it bridges the gap between printed catalogues or ads and booking engines of tour operators.
ISO Travel Solutions will present an iPhone-based MBE at the ITB that recognizes photographed content of a catalogue page (alternative that of a pamphlet or even a TV screen). The app identifies the photographed object within seconds and pertaining data is send to the user’s iPhone. This includes a description of the hotel as well as a vacancy search and booking straight from the app. ISO steps into the world of augmented reality for tourism by merging real life optical information, which is shown in real time on the phone to the user and associated online data from touristic booking systems in the background.
Additional useful functions offer sending digitized catalogue pages to friends as an e-mail or via facebook, archiving them online or viewing pictures, videos and other information about destinations.

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[ISO Travel Solutions (ITS) and zartmann travel solutions (zts) have created a technology partnership: both travel technology companies will join their forces in the future, if customers will benefit through synergy effects which result from joining their complementary portfolios.
In order to publicize this strong partnership, ITS and zts have chosen an adequate stage: they use world’s most important fair of the tourism industry to send a signal with a joint stand in hall 6.1, stand 112 – a first sign of the new partnership to the market that will not be overlooked.

Diethelm has already used Canary, the tour operator solution of the in Nuremberg based company&nbsp; successfully in its office in Bangkok for almost ten years and has now decided to install the system in additional Asian countries. First&nbsp; the application will be deployed in Vietnam and Cambodia, shortly after that in Singapore. Additional destinations in the Diethelm Travel portfolio will follow. A major benefit of the system means that central parts of Canary will be enhanced, in order that all users in the new destinations can work fully web-based - all functions such as base data load and bookings can then be made in as web browser.

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[The European Framework Programme for Research and Technical Development (RTD) is encouraging SMEs to participate to aquire new knowledge for growth in Europe´s knowledge-based economy. The Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) attracted more than 200 SMEs with their research projects.
The EU project Aladdin aims to develop a mobile destination system that combines both the provision of a mobile incoming tour operator workspace and a mobile content and service management system for destinations. Aladdin provides incoming tour operators with a variety of services that help to improve their business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) businesses and to reduce processing time during the different phases of the incoming tourist life cycle. The implementation of the mobile workspace for incoming tour operators and the mobile leisure environment requires substantial development of new applications and services, as well as adaptation of existing solutions.<br />The Aladdin system is developed on the paradigm of a service-oriented architecture (SOA). This architecture, made up of different components and interconnections, stresses interoperability and location transparency of service providers and service customers. The interoperability is based on the ability of the Aladdin service to be invoked by any potential mobile or fixed client of the service.
