Primera Travel Group implements Reservation System Pacific from ISO Travel solutions

The Scandinavian tour operator group Primera Travel Group implements Pacific, the tour operator IT solution suite from ISO Travel Solutions in Germany.

The Primera Travel Group, with its main office in Copenhagen Denmark, unites seven tour operator brands in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Iceland. The group has searched the international IT market for a solution which can be used by the different brands and operators with their individual requirements and thus replace the different systems which are used today. The new single system needs to handle the classical packaging business with Primera’s own charter airline as well as the sales of individual travel products and the dynamic packaging. All of that on a high volume with high speed. Therefore a strong system focus is the possibility to handle high volumes and provide good and fast online sales capabilities.
ISO’s system Pacific was chosen because it will provide Primera with all these functions and possibilities. The system combines ISO’s long lasting expertise in providing high-volume IT solutions for the tourism market and it is based on an absolutely modern
which makes it easy to adapt to the needs of Primera.
Dadi Ingólfsson CIO of Primera Travel Group states that ISO was chosen after a long search on the travel IT market for the absolutely right match for Primera. Pacific’s modern architecture, being very scalable and open for external connections and thereby facilitating dynamic approach to the business, along with ISO’s extensive experience with travel systems and their professional approach made the difference for Primera: “We look forward to the new possibilities the system will provide our business and hope it will help us to take the lead in this increasingly demanding market.”
Markus Kretschmer, Managing Director of
: “We are very proud that one of the largest tour operator groups in Europe has selected us as a partner to provide their backbone reservation technology. This deal with Primera proves that we have taken the right decision when we started to develop Pacific completely new on the most modern technology. Pacific can handle the highest passenger volumes and provides a large spectrum of functions for all types of tour operators. The Primera tour operators that will implement the system will be hosted on the same multi-lingual, multi-currency and multi-brand Pacific instance. We look really forward to rolling out our system in the several countries of the Primera tour operators in the future.”

German Airport IT specialist ISO Software Systeme has been awarded a contract to supply Namibian Airports Company (NAC) with an Airport Information & Billing System.

State-owned Namibian Airports Company (NAC), which owns and runs eight Namibian airports, requested a new system for the operation of three of these. A five-year maintenance contract is also part of the acknowledgement.

The roll-out for the Namibian airports Hosea Kutako International Airport, Eros Airport and Walvis Bay Airport has been in progress since the end of August. Start of operations is planned for early 2012.
Changi Airport to run ISO SKY Billing for Aeronautical Billing

Singapore-Nuremberg, October 2011 – Singapore´s Changi Airport (SIN) has chosen SKY Billing from ISO Software Systeme for its Aeronautical Billing. The SAP-certified solution will ensure a smooth integration into the core SAP ERP system at the Asian mega-hub.

After an extensive evaluation of the various billing systems,
(CAG), the operator of Singapore Changi Airport, has selected
for its new aeronautical billing application.
As the 7th busiest airport in the world in terms of international passenger volume, Changi Airport handles more than 40 million passenger movements annually. Transformed into flight movements, this figure represents about 6.000 arrivals and departures every week. All these flights will be accounted by ISO’s
. The implementation of SKY Billing is part of the new ERP-implementation project which started in September 2011 and will progressively be implemented until its ‘going-live’ in April 2012. Following CAG’s adoption of SKY Billing, the system will also be in operation at five major airports across Asia, including those in Bangkok and Delhi.
ISO’s SKY Billing implementation for CAG is intended to make the aeronautical billing more flexible in terms of applicable rules for the charges and fees at Changi Airport, and for more adequate reactions to market conditions and changing regulations. It will further improve the invoicing of the airlines by reducing the amount of invoices and the number of payment transactions, resulting in timelier and more accurate settlements, and in turn, improved cash-flow.
SKY Billing will cover all applied aeronautical charges and fees of CAG across all four terminals of Changi Airport, as well as Seletar Airport (XSP). It can be further configured to handle any new charges or fees should there be a need in the future. The system also features multi-airport capability, enabling it to incorporate billings at future airports as satellites outside of Singapore.

e2e-Travel Package for 2,50€ per passenger

Nuremberg, 05 September 2011 – HitchHiker and ISO Travel Solutions jointly announce e2e–Travel Package for small and mid-sized tour operators, realised as a SaaS – Software as a Service solution.

Today, IT solutions need to be scalable from extremely small to very large without any loss of performance. ISO Travel Solutions, specialist for tour operating IT solutions, and
, IT specialist for flight tariff management and online flight query, have so far been focussing on large tourism companies only. Now they have created the End2End (e2e) Travel Package for small tour operators. With this joint solution small companies can profit from the well-approved systems of the “Big ones”.
The e2e-Travel Package combines the strength of ISO’s
and HitchHiker’s
. The package is available in a basic version as a completely hosted solution for 2,50 € per passenger. The name “End to End Travel Package” clarifies that the modern system supports the entire workflow of a tour operator. This workflow ranges from (online) purchase of flights and other services to dynamic packaging, up to the point of sales via the Internet. Via TeMyra.net the system composes the cheapest and shortest flight routes with GDS and low-cost fares. Via Pacific the dynamic packaging of all travel components is processed quickly and professionally.
As a
the system is especially convenient and cost efficient, since the e2e-Travel Package is completely hosted and administered by the suppliers. All that a tour operator needs is a web browser and an internet connection. Thus, virtually no up-front costs are necessary and regular updates, backups, maintenance and administration of the software is ensured. Additionally, competitiveness is increased as tour operators can focus on their core business: the selling of packaged tours, hotels, car rental, flights and cruises.
“ISO and HitchHiker have been partners for many years now. In the past we were often recognised as the ‘IT providers for large companies’. With our new model for smaller tour operators based on a SaaS approach, we want to show that our solutions can be used in an efficient way by all market participants. Our partnership now gives all tour operators the chance to profit from our in-depth expertise in tour operating and flight IT solutions. We are certain that no other IT company can offer the same quality”, states Markus Kretschmer, Sales Director of ISO Travel Solutions.
In the basic version the e2e-Travel Package is made up of the
including a B2B or B2C frontend, as well as the flight booking engine including connectivity to one GDS (Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre or Worldspan) and 10 selected low-cost carriers. The system provides the perfect opportunity to grow with HitchHiker and ISO, so the basic version can become a comprehensive full version. Due to the SaaS approach individual adjustments and enhancements of the modular solution can be realised very quickly and straightforward. The tour operator only pays for what he really needs. Modules and add-ons such as back office, ticketing automation for flights, yield management functions and much more can be added easily.
“The partnership with ISO builds on the growth and success of hosted HitchHiker online query solutions that provide accurate and comprehensive flight information. Extending our relation to key players like ISO is important for the future of TeMyra.net as the tour operator sector has become a key customer segment for us. We are proud to provide a compelling new option for tour operators looking for a professional, cost effective and flexible selling and management platform”, explains Thomas Boffo, Managing Director of HitchHiker.
