The Market Leader for Airport Billing and Ground Handling Billing
About 40 installations make ISO Software Systeme the market leader for airport billing systems and airport software in Europe. Well-known airports rely on our airport management solutions worldwide. We have been dealing with airport charges and ground handling charges for over 20 years. Airport billing is one of our core competences.
You receive more than just software with an implementation of our airport management solutions. We also consider your business processes and the entire integration. This means:
- More efficient airport billing processes cut administration costs. If your billing processes are labor-intensive, there is potential that is worth improving.
- You invoice faster. Thus, you can realize your revenues earlier.
- You replace expensive special software by our standard systems. Thus, you cut IT costs.
- You send your invoices not only on paper but also electronically. Thus, you serve your airline customers better.
- You provide your data to be used with Business Intelligence. This gives you an insight into your airport’s development potential.
We do not only offer one software product for airport billing but we also provide you with two alternatives for airport management and attune to your preferred technology.
Two Alternatives for Airport Billing
Today most airports use a standard ERP (enterprise resource planning) system for their economic data. Only highly productive solutions like SAP ERP provide the necessary flexibility in their sales modules to map the complex rules for the calculation of airport charges. In most cases, an own application is necessary for airport billing which builds a bridge between the operational and administrative world of the enterprise. However, airport billing needs the operational data from the AODB in any case.
Two alternatives for the positioning of airport billing arise from an integrated view:
- Airport billing is an application which is deeply integrated into the AODB. In this case, it needs an interface to the ERP world, at least to the accounting. Our system SKYport Billing follows this model.
- Airport billing is a module of the standard ERP system. Then, it needs an interface to the AODB. Our system SKYport Billing with SAP follows this model.
ISO Software Systeme offers both alternatives as software products. You profit from the advantages of the standard software in both cases. You decide which integration approach you want to follow.
SKYport Billing, the billing component of our SKYport family, uses the same data as the AODB. SKYport Billing thus allows a billing process with a very close collaboration of enterprise and administration. Both issuing of an invoice (collective invoice) and cash billing are supported by the online communication between the AODB and SKYport Billing.
SKYport Billing is, due to its flexible rules, adaptable to any charge structure. From automated calculated landing charges over stored standard ground handling agreements up to individually acquired single services there is practically nothing the user cannot invoice with SKYport Billing. All relevant information from the operational systems is provided as parameters for the charge calculation.
- A structured loading process from the AODB with a logging functionality and the recording of all calculation steps ensure a documented billing which is traceable at any time. They also provide auditable data for tax inspectors and accountants.
- Besides the established paper based invoicing processes, SKYport Billing also supports electronic invoices according to the IATA standards IS-XML or as a signed PDF via the optional adapter SKYport IS-XML.
- SKYport Billing has, just like all SKYport components, an intuitively operable, browser based user interface and uses an Oracle data base for the secure storage of your business data.
- SKYport Billing is optimized for the usage in combination with our SKYport AODB. Needless to say that our solution can also be integrated with existing operational systems of other suppliers.
- ISOs SKYport Billing with SAP is an add-on to SAP ERP. Extended data structures in SAP SD allow for an upload of flight data from an AODB. SAP offers very flexible functions for the modeling of your airport charges (landing charge, passenger charge, parking charge, infrastructure charge, ground and passenger handling or special services) and billing processes.
- The SAP AG is market leader in the field of management information systems. Even for airports, there is no other ERP system that could compete with SAP ERP.
- SKYport Billing with SAP is certified by the SAP AG ("Powered by SAP NetWeaver").
- Due to the use of SAP standard functions, SKY-Billing is perfectly embedded into the SAP world. This saves a lot of reconciliation work between systems that used to be separated and allows seamless posting to financial accounting and product cost accounting.
- Airport billing and accounting work on the same data basis and thus close ranks.
- With IATA Simplified Interline Settlement (SIS), IATA is modernizing the existing processes in the IATA Clearing House until October 1st 2011 and introducing a new obligatory standard for billing between airlines.
- The exchange format IS-XML offers many billing opportunities of air traffic and ground handling services.
- IATA’s recommendation for airlines is to also enforce this standard with the billing with their service providers (airports and ground handlers).
- ISO, being a member of the working groups IATA E-Invoicing Working Group (IATA Aviation Invoice Standard) and IATA SIS Working Group (IS-XML), was already involved in the development of this standard at an early stage and offers a powerful billing solution of all defined services with SKYport IS-XML.
- SKYport IS-XML of ISO Software Systeme allows a seamless integration with SKYport Billing or SKYport Billing with SAP but also with your own billing solution.
Can SKYport Billing and SKYport Billing with SAP be combined with each other?
Yes, this particularly makes sense if an enterprise runs several airports. Our customer Copenhagen Airports A/S is, besides the airport of Copenhagen, also responsible for Roskilde Airport. Copenhagen works with SKYport Billing with SAP in the airport management because the integration with SAP is decisive. However, Roskilde uses SKYport Billing for its airport management because its focus is more on operational demands. The same applies to the Flughafen Stuttgart GmbH. The Stuttgart airport successfully uses SKYport Billing with SAP. SKYport Billing is installed at the subsidiary at the airport Karlsruhe / Baden-Baden, which is 100 kilometers away, because it fits the structures better there. An interface transfers the billing data from SKYport Billing to the accounting in SAP.
