The Market Leader for Airport Billing and Ground Handling Billing
30 installations make ISO the European market leader for airport billing and ground handling billing systems. Some airports in Asia also trust in our systems. 20 years of experiences with airport charges and ground handling contracts make airport billing one of our core competencies.
With an implementation of one of our systems you can accomplish more than just new software. We also have an eye for your business processes and systems integration. This means:
- Save administration overhead by streamlining your invoicing processes. Labour consuming processes often call for improvements.
- Invoice quicker and more frequently. You may be able to realise your revenues earlier.
- Save IT costs by replacing costly customer-tailored systems with standard software.
- Send your invoices not just as paper but also electronically. Your airline customers will appreciate this service.
- Make your billing data available for business intelligence. Business intelligence will give you more insights in your airport’s potentials.
We do not only offer one software product for airport billing but two alternatives. Thus we focus on your preferred technology.
Two Alternatives for Airport Billing/aeronautical invoicing
Most airports today have an off-the-shelf ERP (enterprise resource planning) system, as for instance SAP® ERP. ERP integrates business processes and data. On the other hand the airport billing system/aeronautical invoicing needs the flight movements data from the AODB (airport operational database). Both systems, AODB and ERP are poles apart.
Some of our competitors regard airport billing/aeronautical invoicing to be a third system between AODB and ERP. They need interfaces to both, AODB and ERP, multiplying interface issues. Legacy systems of this kind get caught between two stools.
In an integrated view there are two alternatives for airport billing/aeronautical invoicing:
- Airport billing/aeronautical invoicing is a system seamlessly integrated with the AODB. In this case it needs an interface with the ERP system, at least the accounts receivables. This is the idea of our SKY-Base system.
- Airport billing/aeronautical invoicing system forms a module of your ERP system. In this case it will need an AODB interface. Our SKY-Billing system is designed according to this model together with SAP® ERP.
SKY-Base
The billing module of
SKY-Base is built on top of the AODB database. Thus SKY-Base enables billing processes that move ramp control and billing closer together. It supports both credit billing (most commercial airlines) as well as cash billing. The system can be configured in order to meet changing requirements. In case you need a powerful solution for a reasonable investment SKY-Base is the best solution for your airport. SKY-Base is based on an Oracle database.
SKY-Billing
SKY-Billing enables SAP® ERP to upload flight data from an AODB and make the data available for pricing and invoicing. SAP® offers very flexible functions for the modelling of your airport charges (landing charge, passenger charge, parking charge, infrastructure charge, ground handling agreements, etc. ) and processes. Even standard ground handling agreements (SGHA) according to IATA AHM 810 can be managed.
SAP is teh market leader for business software. There’s no other ERP system available for airports that can mess with SAP ERP. Sky-Billing is certified by SAP ("Powered by SAP NetWeaver").
Thanks to the use of SAP® standard functions SKY-Billing is seamlessly integrated into the SAP® world. This saves a lot of reconciliation work between systems that used to be separated. Direct posting to accounts receivables and managerial accounting moves airport billing and accounting closer together.
Can both alternatives (SKY-Base and SKY-Billing) be combined with each other?
Yes, this makes sense for a multi airport operator. For instance Copenhagen Airports A/S manages not only Copenhagen airport but also Roskilde airport. Copenhagen uses SKY-Billing, because of the advantages of the close integration with the SAP® system. Roskilde uses SKY-Base, because at Roskilde the focus is more on operational requirements.
Stuttgart Airport has a similar scenario. Stuttgart Airport uses SKY-Billing with great success. A subsidiary company at the remote Baden Airport uses SKY-Base which better fits the local structures at Baden. An interface takes care for the upload of the remote data in the central SAP® system.
